How to watch the NBA In-Season Tournament 2023-2024

The 2023-24 NBA regular season is playing out right now. There are more than 1,200 games scheduled between 30 teams. The NBA is starting a new in-season tournament for 2023-2024. It has all 30 teams divided into six groups within two conferences, with each game being a single elimination format until one team is crowned the new NBA Cup champion.

The inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament kicks off on Friday, November 3 and concludes on Saturday, December 9 with the In-Season Tournament Championship. The proposed annual in-season competition will comprise group play rounds followed by knockout rounds and will feature all 30 NBA franchises. All 30 NBA teams are participating in the tournament, competing for not just the NBA Cup, but also $500,000 in prize money awaiting each member of the winning team.

Key dates for the 2023-24 NBA season

As the NBA season 2023-2024 has officially started , here are all the important dates you need to know for the 2023-24 campaign.

  • October 24— NBA regular season begins
  • November 3 — NBA in-season tournament begins
  • November 10 — NBA G League season begins

  • May 21-22 —  Conference Finals begin (possible move up to May 19-20)

How to watch the 2023 NBA In-Season Tournament

Although all of the NBA In-Season Tournament games are broadcast on ESPN, TNT, ABC, NBA TV and on NBA League Pass.  If you already have a pay-TV provider and access to ESPN, ABC or TNT, you may watch NBA games live on their individual apps. Simply enter your login information.

Some of the NBA In-Season Tournament games are available to stream on ESPN and TNT with Hulu + Live TV. Unfortunately, the service does not include Bally Sports, NBA TV, or NBA League Pass.

The ability to watch all games live that are not in your local area is the biggest advantage of NBA League Pass. You won’t, however, be able to watch live games of your local team or nationally televised events like the NBA Playoffs or NBA Finals through the program.

The players on the teams that compete in the Knockout Rounds will get a portion of the In-Season Tournament prize pool for the 2023–24 season, with the amount of the prize pool growing based on a team’s level of tournament advancement.

The NBA will announce the All-Tournament Team and the Most Valuable Player of the competition following the end of the In-Season Tournament. The players’ performances in both the Group Play and Knockout Rounds will determine who gets chosen.
